Autumn a favorite time of year!

Autumn, as leaves are falling and the hangar is open cool brisk breeze blowing, I gaze upon the mountainside with the changing leaves, natures fireworks, I yearn to fly in the open cockpit PT 23 on a scenic flight. Where has all the fun gone, aviation seems to be slipping away from my grasp. Avgas is $5.80 a gallon, hangar rent over $400 a month, insurance, maintenance, training, medical requirements, etc...if God had intended me to keep flying he would give me more money. If it is to be, it is up to me. Uncle Sam wants to be paid, business expenses increasing, no end in sight, every time I turn around a medical bill or some other $500 problem I can't seem to rectify. This ship has been turning but the seas are rough and high, the waves are wet and cold, my ship is adrift in a cold dark night...I will tell you a story about the "Red October" someday.
I am the Captain and I knew someday my ship would come in but I would be at the airport!

Music soothes my soul, the part of my DNA,  I can't live without. I came home last night to find my dog painted pink my daughter got to stay home from school sick but took it upon herself to pretty up the doggy.
She must've let him upstairs into my apartment and he got locked in my bedroom which he then scratched the the fine wood doors to hell and back trying to get out. I am furious! So, now I must turn on the stereo and relax. Ask me why I drink? Ask me why I don't sleep well. When will this economy improve. What will my soon-to-be ex-wife's next move be? Will I be able to raise my children to be loving, giving, happy, healthy, financially and emotionally stable, and successful in their future.

There will be a hangar party tonight...the one at D 1. A keg of beer, a hotdog cart, maybe some music...what could be better, possibly a scenic flight in the old 1943 Fairchild PT 23. I had hoped to audition for the John Zahn band so I invited him up, maybe we would play at the party tonight. his DNA is of the classic rock variety Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Steve Miller Band, Deep Purple, Rolling Stones, Robin Trower, AC/DC, The Who, Bob Seager, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and others. This is a perfect DNA matched to me, and my drumming abilities. He is an incredible guitar player!
Music soothes my soul.
